Vision #5 - The AI x Marketing Dispatch
AI, marketing strategy, and experiments that actually move the needle
Hey, it’s Shubham here. These past few weeks at Questera have been a bit of a rollercoaster, only with more caffeine and fewer safety harnesses. Between chasing down a gnarly onboarding glitch ( turned into our most accidental insight, which I’ll tell you in the deep dive below) and sharing a behind-the-scenes update with the outside world, it’s been intense. Our team even grew by one marketing ops who’s already pushing things into new territory.
Okay, enough about my existential joy, here are 3 standout stories in the marketing × AI world this week that we’re still talking about behind the scenes:
Gen Z’s Creative Maximalism - They are reshaping culture with “Creative Maximalism”, an internet-native style born on platforms like YouTube, Roblox, and Minecraft. They spend far less time on TV/movies and much more on user-generated content. 2/3rds believe they drive online culture, leaning into co-creation, immersive storytelling, and digital-first creativity.
Altman: Bots Are Flooding Social Media - OpenAI’s CEO warned bots are overwhelming real users, hurting trust and ad ROI, and raising detection costs. He urged proof-of-person standards as Meta launches more chatbots. Marketers should expect higher CPMs and shift spend toward verified channels.
Facebook Ad Costs Jump 21% in 2025 - They are pricier for leads but cheaper for clicks. Cost per lead now averages $27.66, while cost per click dropped to $0.70. Traffic campaigns are giving better ROI this year. Lead gen, however, is tougher with lower conversion rates, meaning marketers need sharper targeting, and smarter funnels to stay profitable.
Proven AI-driven Growth & Lifecycle Marketing Experiments:
Here are 3 quick tactics I found interesting:
1. Launch Absurd Mini-Products
Launching quirky, unrelated products makes brands feel cooler by up to 20%, KFC & McDonald’s did it in the past by launching nail polish and McDonald’s x Adidas sneakers respectively. The surprise, humor, and creativity signal rebellion and boost consumer perception.
2. Win Report: Saved Sessions
A travel platform’s “welcome back” prompt reminded users of their last viewed trip, removing friction. This simple continuity feature lifted returning visitor conversions by 16%. The results highlight the importance of continuity in multi-session decision-making.
3. Auto Email Plans with Elma
With Elma, you just have to paste your website link, and it analyzes your brand’s content and audience. In minutes, it generates a complete email marketing funnel, tailored specifically for you.
Top 3 tools i found interesting this week:
GenSpark AI Designer - Design anything with a single prompt
USO - ByteDance’s creative model for style and subject generations
Mirage 2 - Generate real-time, playable world engines from text or images
My Opinions & Learnings
The biggest thing I’ve realized lately is that “small” isn’t small at all. It’s the tiny friction points a loading screen, a missing nudge, a half-second of silence, that shape how users feel about your product. Most teams obsess over the big funnels and forget the micro-moments, but I’ve seen how fixing one small gap can spark more trust and results than a flashy new feature. That’s where my team is concentrating now.
The onboarding glitch I mentioned earlier proved this - During signup, some users landed on a half-loaded screen for a few extra seconds. Instead of bouncing, they interacted with the placeholder line which said “Don’t worry, we’re setting things up for you”, this reassured them and even reduced churn.
What looked like a bug turned into proof that thoughtful micro-copy can turn friction into confidence and make onboarding smoother!
By the way, if you’re into new tech tools and the intersection of tech + marketing, I share quick breakdowns almost every day on YouTube and Instagram. Come hang out there for fresh tools and brand stories:)
That's all for this week! If you found this valuable, please forward it to a colleague who might benefit.
